A 12-point procurement checklist for electric sit-stand desks
The questions that separate a USD 220 sit-stand desk from a USD 650 sit-stand desk — and which of them actually matter for a 7-year fit-out.

The 12 points
1) Motor count and brand (single vs. dual motor; Korean Moteck / Italian TiMOTION / Chinese Jiecang).
2) Cycle test result (BIFMA X5.5 with 10,000-cycle pass under load).
3) Anti-collision sensor (acceleration-based vs. current-based; the former is faster and gentler).
4) Lift speed under load (38 mm/s+ at 80 kg).
5) Top construction (E0-grade core; veneer thickness; topcoat type).
6) Topcoat emissions (GREENGUARD Gold preferred over generic E1).
7) Cable management (integrated tray vs. aftermarket).
8) Frame finish (RAL options; powder coat vs. wet paint).
9) Warranty (frame ≥5 yr / electronics ≥2 yr is contract-grade).
10) Spare parts policy (motor and controller stocked in-region for ≥7 yr).
11) Packaging (weight per box; ply weight; corner protection).
12) Test report file (full PDF, ISO 17025-accredited lab, not a one-page certificate).
What to push back on a salesperson
If a supplier cannot answer points 2, 6, 10 and 12 inside one email exchange, they are not contract-grade. Distributor-grade and trader-resale operations cannot answer because they do not own the test reports or the spare-parts pipeline.
